MB Networks

Privacy Policy.

Effective: July 29, 2026

This policy describes how apps.mb-networks.ca (operated by MB Networks) handles information when you use this site.

What we collect

We do not collect personal information. There are no accounts, registration forms, or login systems on this site.

Most tools on this site run entirely in your browser. Input you provide — IP addresses, file contents, text strings, and similar — is processed locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

Exceptions — tools that contact external services

A small number of tools send data to third-party APIs by design:

Every other tool on this site — including MAC Vendor Lookup, which looks up MAC address vendors against an IEEE OUI database bundled with the site itself (not a third-party service) — sends nothing anywhere. These tools disclose their exact behaviour on their own pages.

Cookies

This site sets exactly one cookie: mbnet-theme, which remembers whether you've chosen light or dark mode. It's scoped to .mb-networks.ca (shared with mb-networks.ca so your choice carries across both sites), lasts one year, and is never used for tracking, advertising, or analytics — it stores only the string "light" or "dark". Because it's strictly necessary for a feature you directly control (the theme toggle), it doesn't require a consent banner.

We don't use any other cookies, and no third-party analytics or advertising scripts run on this site.

Image tools (Image Workshop)

Every tool under Image Workshop processes images entirely in your browser using the HTML canvas — an uploaded image is never transmitted anywhere, including to us. Closing the tab discards it; nothing is retained after your session ends.

EXIF Viewer & Stripper deserves a specific note: photos can carry embedded metadata including the exact GPS coordinates of where they were taken. This tool reads that metadata and displays it — including location — entirely on your device; it is never sent anywhere, by us or anyone else. The "download without metadata" option produces a copy with this data removed, for when you want to share a photo without also sharing where it was taken.

PDF tools (PDF Workshop)

Every tool under PDF Workshop processes PDFs entirely in your browser — a PDF is never transmitted anywhere, including to us. Closing the tab discards it; nothing is retained after your session ends.

These tools use two open-source libraries, pdf-lib and Mozilla's pdf.js, to read and write PDF files — browsers have no built-in equivalent, unlike the canvas used by Image Workshop. Both are bundled with this site and served from it, the same way the OUI database above is — not loaded from a third party, and not sending anything anywhere at runtime.

Add Watermark is a visual stamp, not a security or access-control feature — it can be removed by anyone with the right tools, and this site doesn't claim otherwise.

Server logs

Our web server retains standard access logs (IP address, requested URL, timestamp, referrer, user agent). These logs are used for security monitoring and are not shared with third parties. Logs are rotated periodically.

Affiliate links

Some pages may include affiliate links to products referenced in tool descriptions (for example, through the Amazon Associates program, tag: mbnetworks-20). Clicking an affiliate link does not affect tool output or recommendations, and is disclosed inline where used.

Third-party links

This site may link to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the date of the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
