Why thumbnails aren't optional for this tool
Reordering or deleting pages by number alone is error-prone the moment a document is more than a few pages — you can't reliably tell "page 7" from "page 12" without seeing them. Rendering an actual thumbnail per page (lazy-loaded as you scroll, so a several-hundred-page document doesn't try to render everything simultaneously) is what makes this safe to use on real documents, not just small test files.
What "delete" actually does before you download
Marked-for-deletion pages are visually flagged but not removed from the working document until you export — so you can review the full set of changes (deletions and the new order together) before committing, and undo a marked deletion by unmarking it, with nothing permanent happening until the final download.
Is it safe to use this on a very long PDF?
Yes — thumbnails render lazily as you scroll into view rather than all at once, specifically so a document with hundreds of pages doesn't try to render every thumbnail simultaneously and lock up the browser tab.
Can I undo a page deletion before downloading?
Yes — marking a page for deletion just flags it visually; nothing is actually removed from the document until you export. Unmark it to restore it, any time before you download the final file.
Does reordering pages affect anything other than page order?
No — each page's actual content, size, and orientation stay exactly as they were; only the sequence changes. This tool doesn't alter page content itself, only which order pages appear in.
